Time for Pumpkin

Hailey really enjoyed painting me orange and daddy just laughed at us as he walked in the door after work. I was 30 1/2 weeks in this pic.

We are really enjoying our fall, and cannot believe that last night and today it was snowing!!!!

Last week we went to the Alabama Swamps and had a blast hiking and we had a picnic and the only sounds you could hear were the birds. It was so nice, and when we got home i had to nap. There's a house along the way to the swamps that has a camel and llamas and kangaroos and donkeys and geese. We stopped and fed the camel carrots. Hailey loved it. It seems to be a spring and fall tradition.

We picked enough apples to make applesauce for the year and i made 3 apple pies and 2 different apple desserts and apple muffins. I also gave quite a bit of apples away. I'm all appled out! I was going to do applebutter but i think i'm callin it quits.

I also made enough squash for the winter. I cooked 14 squash that i got from kelkenburg farm for $8!!! and Peter helped me freeze it. So my freezer if fully stocked and I even had to use Pat's freezer for some of it.

I took Hailey to the Great Pumpkin Farm last Saturday. She loved it and twice she said to me, "mom, you are so cool!" I bought her a huge brownie and we got to see the animals, she wanted to go on a wagon ride, but i didn't think my belly could handle it...she then said that she could go alone-NOT! good try though.
